Problem: Not meeting financial targets consistently. Too much feast and famine and not enough consistency and balance.
Success: Launched a beta version with 8 sign-ups (more than target).
Before working with Gemma…
I had a lot of financially inconsistent months. It was difficult to track what was coming in and when.
The one to one work I do is very taxing and emotionally intense, so I wanted to be able to work in a way where I could still show up for clients but that wouldn’t lead to burnout.
Lizandra’s Key Points
I was concerned about how my niche would work in a group setting as there are certain standards and ethics to abide by which I thought would make it difficult, but Gemma really put my mind at ease as she’s worked with others in this niche.
I was finding that I had clients who came to me with similar problems, feeling alone and isolated, and I started wondering how I could put them together so that they could learn from each other and support one another, and I could also help more people at the same time.
I’d previously tried creating a group but I didn’t really know what I was doing. I didn’t validate the offer. It wasn’t very organised or well planned-out. I’d invested in another programme previously where I felt there were pieces missing. When I found out about Amplify, I felt that it filled all those gaps and more.
The key thing for me was working out who I helped and how, and making sure people wanted the thing, before creating it.
I now have 8 people in the beta version of the programme. It’s a supportive space and I’m getting great feedback. I feel excited to show up and deliver the programme. I’ve surpassed the number I wanted in the first version of the programme.
I realised that I don’t need that many people in my programme to hit my income targets, so I can still keep the group intimate.
Amplify has taught me that having the right mindset is key and that I can be more strategic with what I’m doing.
Trust your process. Everything is in the content, just keep working through it.
What are you looking forward to next?
I’m excited about continuing to create the content for the programme, scaling it but keeping the level of intimacy there so that people feel it’s a safe space.
Who would you recommend Amplify to?
100% recommend Amplify to anyone who is a service provider and wants to create a group programme, but is feeling lost about where to start.
What should others know about Gemma?
What Gemma teaches really works.
Amplify has been such a supportive community. There are so many successful people in the programme but everyone was so supportive. Listening to others’ struggles and wins were so helpful.
